Born at the time when major advances in science and technologies lead to the age old knowledge of medicine which had been handed down for countless generations was lost to the generation of her parents and to subsequent generations. By the time Donna was starting school she had developed allergies to the air, the water, the food, and to the rigors of the life of the day. To make matters worse, she suffered from various learning disabilities of which there was little knowledge and limited if any help.

With great struggles and what seemed like insurmountable mountains Donna graduated from college and shortly there after married. Her youngest daughter was born in Thailand with several problems which did not respond well to conventional western medicine. However, the baby did respond well to the Thai doctors’ ways and treatments. Thus was Donna’s first exposure to “natural medicine”.

In the early ‘80’s Donna began focusing on the learning problems that she had (and still does) faced. By this time she had a degree in Early Childhood Development. She returned to school and received a degree in Human Development and began working with children with ADD and other learning challenges. She learned quickly that most of these children were helped without medication. Simple changes in diet and meditation changed lives for the good. Yoga produced very remarkable and surprising results.

Donna read most (if not all) of Deepak Chopra’s books and those of others advocating healthy life changes. In 1995 she became a patient of an Ayurvedic based holistic Doctor who looked at her deteriorating physical condition and gave her a challenge. Change or Die. Donna changed and began the new phase of her life. In February 2005 Donna and Dean (her husband) went to their first seminar by Deepak Chopra, called Healing of the Heart.
